Schools, Colleges and Universities who wish to satisfy public responsibilities for deaf and hard of hearing individuals can contract with us to serve students and/or faculty providing equal access with expert interpreting services by course or session.
Health and Wellness Care
Sign interpreters provide practitioners full access to communicate with their deaf patients regarding their health care. Experience, knowledge of medical terminology and sensitivity to patient privacy are essential for effective communication.
Legal interpreting requires highly skilled and trained specialists because of the significant consequences to the people involved. Under the ADA, deaf individuals have a right to qualified interpreting services for all legal needs and obligations.
Business and Special Events
Organizations who wish to provide full communication access to all parties involved can use sign interpreters for the following: trainings, meetings, presentations, conferences, town hall meetings, classes, staff gatherings or your unique event.
SIS provides American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting services covering Southeastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey and Maryland.
SIS can provide interpreters on an as needed basis addressing one-time or ongoing assignments. Interpreters are nationally certified by the Registry of Interpreters of the Deaf (RID). Read more about how we match the right interpreters for your needs.
